AF-24 Ubiquiti airFiber 24GHz Bridge

Regular price £1,335.44 GBP

Description

The Ubiquiti airFiber AF-24 provides a breakthrough in 24 GHz backhaul performance.

Systems for millimeter-wave frequencies typically experience RF losses when part of the RF is lost in the switches and filters. The Ubiquiti airFiber R&D team eliminated such RF losses with separate yet integrated TX and RX antennas, so the link budget is robust and the Ubiquiti airFiber AF-24 has better noise figure and higher transmit power efficiency.

The Ubiquiti airFiber AF-24 delivers superior speed with spectral efficiency in the worldwide, license-free, 24 GHz radio band. It delivers up to 1.5+ Gbps throughput at a range of up to 5+ km and features the most powerful automatic compensation for path loss degradation due to rain fade, so it provides the best range among 24 GHz products and allows for constellation threshold extension.

-- Two Ubiquiti airFiber untis are required for a complete link --

Frequently asked questions5 questions
What is the AF-24 used for?
It is a 24 GHz point-to-point backhaul bridge that works in the licence-free 24 GHz band. It delivers up to 1.5+ Gbps aggregate throughput, and two units are required to form a complete link.
How far can the AF-24 transmit?
It is rated for a transmission range of 13+ km. It also features automatic compensation for path loss degradation due to rain fade, which helps maintain range in wet weather.
How is the AF-24 powered?
It is powered by the included 50V, 1.2A Gigabit PoE adapter. Maximum power consumption is 50W.
What Ethernet ports does the AF-24 have?
It has one 10/100/1000 Ethernet port and one 10/100 Ethernet port, which is used for configuration and auxiliary connections.
Does the AF-24 include a mounting kit?
Yes, a pole mounting kit is included. Eight status LEDs show port speed, activity, RF status and GPS synchronisation.
